The 2002 is my first deliberate external music endeavor following Warbler Project. I started it because I wanted to both claim the name and have an outlet to mess around musically with no holds barred (i.e.: sampling other people's stuff and getting combinations of sounds out of my head). That was more or less what I had done while toying with using "The Jolly Warblers" as a pseudonym for my solo work.

The name is derived from two sources: 2002 is the year Songs for the Deaf was released, and I quite like the name of The 1975. Their music? Eh.

As it stands, all music under The 2002 will be available to download freely, as its creation entails fair use.
