Inspiration strikes hard, and so I've decided to rig up a lenient secondary music project: The 2002. If there's something I don't want to (or can't) release as Midifuture, it'll come from The 2002. Fun!

This site is now officially live. I still have a few nit-noid changes to make, but otherwise, we're good to go.

The live version of "The Funniest Man Alive" has been finalized for distribution. It'll be releasing soon. How exciting this is; I feel a balance of excitement between making and releasing music.

This site is mostly ready to go live. I still have to write a fair portion of the pages under Influences & Friends, but after that, I think we'll be in business.

I put on my first performance tonight; specifically of "The Funniest Man Alive". It felt wonderful. To perform your own creation to multiple people is a very unique and inspiring feeling. I've been meaning to for a while, so the performance had a cathartic property to it as well. Agh. That really was great. A digitally mastered version of that performance will be released soon.

The Other Side of Make Believe: complete. I'm ambivalent about it; it's a very well-made album, though I didn't find all too much that I "greatly enjoyed" like I had with the first four albums. They're a great band, regardless.

El Pintor and Marauder: complete. Not bad. Not my favorite works from them, but they were both solid. I particularly like "Party's Over" from Marauder. Can't wait to listen to The Other Side of Make Believe.

Finished both Our Love to Admire and Interpol (self-titled) yesterday. "Mind Over Time" is incredible. I can't believe it was a bonus track, of all things. Interpol was great; it was definitely something resembling a "departure from their established sound" (blah, blah, blah), but it was great regardless. I'm going to listen to El Pintor today and possibly Marauder. These guys know their stuff.

I listened to Interpol's Antics earlier and started listening to Our Love to Admire. Antics was alright; I can see why people hold it in similar esteem to Turn on the Bright Lights. It definitely retains that album's sound. I greatly enjoyed the first half or so of Our Love to Admire; it seems to be a black sheep, and I really like that.
