Music minted sublimely.
The house I've lived in for most of my life has always had a space that my family has colloquially referred to as the "Music Room". From when we initially moved in through now, my dad, who has been a phenomenal guitarist for decades, has used this space to recreate and enjoy his extensive collection of guitars. My mom, who has been a phenomenal pianist and vocalist for decades, has also used this space to delight in piano. Over the course of several years, the Music Room became fairly cluttered due to our busy lives, though it was still actively used.
That sets the stage for August 2024, when I first began releasing material through Warbler Project. I'd flirted with the thought of how neat it would be to use/have a competent music studio for recording, but that remained as only a thought until December, when I started using the piano to practice renditions of my songs as Midifuture. I started having grand ideas for how to convert the room into a studio, but at the time, it seemed to be too gargantuan of a task to undertake. Fast forwarding to late May 2025, though, both my dad and myself were onboard and formulating a plan to turn our combined ideas into reality.
After months of work involving repositioning, painting, and acoustically treating, the studio finally came together at the tail-end of July, and due to our choice of paint, as well as other factors, I decided to name give the newly-reestablished space its current name.
Mojito is where I record, mix, master, experiment, generally brainstorm, often listen to, and partake in pretty much any other verb related to music. I'm very, very happy and grateful to have this studio as a sanctuary.
