Midifuture is an American musician/producer.
Having been a trained vocalist since he was very young, Midifuture participated in several musicals and choir classes throughout elementary and middle school. His first encounter with non-theatrical instrumentation in conjunction with his vocals was being part of a loose rock collective named The Jolly Warblers (2021-2022) with two of his friends and his school's former head of STEM management. Around this time, he also began experimenting with various DAWs. During his junior and senior years of high school (2022-2023), he practiced audio engineering and was the lead sound engineer for three of his school's theatrical productions.
After graduating, Midifuture did not get involved with music creation again until late 2023 with the creation of Warbler Project, which resulted in one single, one album, and one EP. Wanting to establish a different musical identity, Midifuture stopped creating music under the Warbler Project alias in September 2024.
Midifuture released a single, The Funniest Man Alive (Live Debut 11/10/2024), in November 2024, though this was later delisted. Shortly after, he began The 2002, an alternative music project in a similar vein to his solo work under the moniker of "The Jolly Warblers". A live performance of Radiohead's "Pyramid Song", featuring three other musicians, was recorded in December 2024 and released in January 2025. Midifuture's first official single, The Funniest Man Alive / Bleeding Out in Winter, was released later that month.
Sophomore Sessions, an album comprising recordings from late 2024 to early 2025, was released on September 27, 2025.
Alright, great. We've gotten past the objective "streaming service" overview (which will be updated dynamically). The rest of this site, with some exceptions, should be pretty informal.
Hi there. I'm Midifuture. I created the name on a whim; I wanted something that both wasn't "already taken" and was ideally four to five syllables. When I made it, I was more or less conjugating words based on their sounds, but in retrospect, it played out very well. I like working with software instruments, and I get enthusiastic for the opportunity to being able to immerse myself in making music.
That aside, I'm an archivist by nature. I keep close tabs on almost all of the material from everything I've ever deliberately done music-wise. As such, one of this site's primary functions is to serve as a library for album information, miscellaneous recordings, ideas, journaling, and other aspects of my music.
I primarily record, produce, and brainstorm at Mojito Soundworks using either GarageBand or Ableton Live.
Questions? Comments? Ideas? Send a carrier pigeon towards midifuturemusic@gmail.com and I'll try to get back to you as soon as I can. I've also got both a Bandcamp and an Instagram page if either of those more within your interest.
Thank you very much for checking out my work.
