swamp_child is a solo music project whose leading member attends college with me and is a close friend of mine.

Their music is extremely fun, and a fair amount of it is extremely inventive. I can't say as chiptune rock was something I'd considered before, but now that I've heard it, I'm hooked. They also got me to listen to more emo-centric stuff (e.g.: My Chemical Romance) and what I'd call "theatrical rock" (i.e.: Panic! At the Disco); it's always great to widen your horizons.

Each swamp_child song has some element of "grandeur within and/or about yourself" to it. I'm not really sure how else to phrase it. My favorite tracks of theirs are "Time Out" and "(I Know Some Wonderful People Named) Bella (But This Song is Not About Them)".

They have Instagram and a kickass compendium on Bandcamp. Go show them some love.
